SteelyHydrogen2014 gathered more than 140 participants. Major industrial players from various sectors as well as renowned universities and research institutes exchanged their experience on the mechanisms on how hydrogen might affect metal properties.
40 papers were presented as well as 28 posters. Participants travelled from 18 countries to attend.
During the 3-day conference sessions were organised on the following topics:
Hydrogen embrittlement in steels for automotive industry
Influence of steel chemistry and microstructure on hydrogen embrittlement
Hydrogen embrittlement mechanisms and modelling
Advanced methodologies to study hydrogen embrittlement
Hydrogen embrittlement and prevention in gaseous H2
with key note lectures by C. Fowler (UK), S. Lynch (Australia), T. Hickel (Germany), R. Kirchheim (Germany) and B. P. Somerday (USA).
